Ingredients:
4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
Oil for frying
Instructions:
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
In a separate shallow dish, mix together the buttermilk and hot sauce (if using).
Heat the oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Dip each chicken breast in the buttermilk mixture, then coat in the flour mixture, pressing the flour mixture onto the chicken to adhere.
Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil and fry for 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate.
Serve the fried chicken hot. Enjoy!
